Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Meeting Alerter MacOS application ("the App"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms.

License

Meeting Alerter is licensed to you for personal use on MacOS devices that you own or control. You may not redistribute, sublicense, reverse-engineer, or sell the App or any portion of it.

Pro Upgrade and In-App Purchases

The Pro tier is sold as a one-time in-app purchase through the Mac App Store. All purchases are processed by Apple and subject to Apple's purchase terms. Refunds, if applicable, are handled by Apple per their refund policy — we do not process refunds directly. The Pro upgrade is tied to your Apple ID and can be restored on any Mac where you are signed in with the same account.

Third-Party Calendar Services

Meeting Alerter works with Apple Calendar and Google Calendar. Your use of those services is subject to Apple's and Google's own terms of service respectively. The availability, accuracy, and completeness of calendar data — including meeting links, attendee information, and event details — depend entirely on those third-party services. We make no guarantees about data provided by them.

Meeting Join Links

The App reads video call links (Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Webex) directly from your calendar events. We do not validate, shorten, or modify these links. If a link in your calendar is incorrect, expired, or missing, the App will reflect that. We accept no responsibility for failed or misdirected meeting joins.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, that calendar data will be accurate or complete, or that alerts will fire at the exact intended time. Meeting reminders depend on system processes that can be affected by sleep, network conditions, and other factors outside our control.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App, including missed meetings.

Updates to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
